Projects - Roch Castle in Pembrokeshire

It is the intention of Roch Castle Limited to carry out extensive refurbishment works to
Roch Castle in Pembrokeshire.
The Castle is a Grade I listed building and the works are intended to create a 5 star
corporate retreat and holiday accommodation facility.

Externally the works comprise the re-pointing of the facade, replacement of windows,
repairs to asphalt roofs, rebuilding of turret and potential single story extension. Internally
the alterations include changes to the layout of the partition waits, replacement of internal
doors, dry lining and insulation, new stone flooring, kitchens, bathrooms, built in wardrobes
and fixtures, ceilings and general repairs, M&E installations will provide new plumbing, drainage,
electrical, lighting, data and communications, hot and cold water, dehumidification system and
heating system. Externally there will be new lighting to illuminate the facade of the Castle and
the grounds.

The Castle and grounds are of significant architectural merit and the following list of factors,
whilst not exhaustive, wilt require special consideration:

working Sequencing of works COM Security/Sealing off the works Noise levels

Aims and Requirements

The key design objective of the project is to create a corporate retreat and holiday
accommodation facility finished to the highest standards. The materials that will be specified
will be sympathetic to the traditional values of the building and will also satisfy the additional
planning restrictions placed upon the building owing to its listed status. Quality standards in
both design and construction will be exceptional. Roch Castle Limited aspires to create a facility
of high merit and provide a destination that people are proud to visit.
